TO THE MOON AND BACK

wearing: Brandy Melville Sadie moon tank {here}, Silent & Noise oversized sleeveless blazer {here}, Zara scarf print skirt, Rachel Comey "Mars" booties {via Threadflip}, gifted yellow leather crossbody bag, H&M bangle

I'm back. & wearing lipstick. So much has changed. Firstly, it's fall! My favorite, absolutely favorite, time of the year has finally graced us with its beautiful presence. You know how people say winter is a magical wonderland? That's fall for me. I love everything about it: the fallen leaves that crunch when you step on them, the brisk weather that's cuddle-friendly, how holding a grande triple shot vanilla latte warms up your entire body, and, of course, the layered yet comfy fashion makes my heart swoon!

If I look tired in these photos, it's because I am, very much so. I've started a  new merchandising internship at Stitch Fix! With this being my first non-telecommuting position, I'm still getting the hang of waking up at 7 AM and coming home at 7 PM but I'm loving every single moment of it. Between my new internship and juggling midterms, I've been quite the busy little granny; sleeping at 10 PM to waking up at 7 AM to finish whatever I didn't get to the night before {aka everything}. Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches, despite how much you hate, hate, hate mornings.

Wore this outfit to hang with my dear friend Jamie over the weekend. That little nugget can make me laugh for days and days, I love it when we finally find time to get together. Almost every piece on my body is a coveted piece that I waited months before committing to aka waited until they went on sale before snagging. Trying to minimize the amount of clothing I have in my closet, I have been attempting to only buy pieces that I can easily mix and match so be prepared to see these beauties over and over again. Which, brings me to my new loves; I would like introduce my lovely Rachel Comey Mars booties from Threadflip that are infamous amongst my friends. Why? Because they cost half of what my rent does. Forget eating, I'm just going to stare at these beauties instead. Yum!

P.S. Thank you all for sticking by me through this bleak time. Finding time to blog/take photos/not look like shit has been a toughie but I promise to get back to doing what I enjoy most! Love you all to the moon and back <3

And because I'm me and I'm weird, here's a photo just for fun:

Till next time, xox!

DENIM LOVE AFFAIR

{H&M hi-lo chiffon dress, Provocateur Joe's Jeans, black cardigan via Taiwan,
leather bag via Taiwan, statement necklace via Taiwan, f21 brown bow heels}

With February behind us, I am already starting to enjoy March immensely. I've never been the biggest fan of the month of February or much of a fan at all. Why? I honestly have no idea. The only thing that perpetuates this distain are memories of bad events and bad luck that seems to plague me during those 28, and sometimes 29, days. Maybe it has to do with my need for everything to fall into pattern and, with an odd number of days, it's the awkward month out. Perhaps it has to do with the little sunshine we get during the month. No matter what, March has always been kinder to me as proven by the last couple of days which were filled with midnight baking, sing-a-longs, cuddle sesses with the besties, and tons of glorious sunshine. With only 2.5 months left until summer beckons, I am already counting down the days and crossing off the dates until the much anticipated summer haze and daze sets in.

Wore this getup to All Vintage Everything event that my internship, DNA (designers+artist), put on in the city a few weeks back. Drinks, vintage and great company, what more could you ask for on a Thursday night? I started off with the chiffon hi-low dress from H&M, a simple basic that I always gravitate towards when I'm in a rush. I've been waiting for the perfect outfit to wear the statement necklace I bought in Taiwan that reminds me of funkadelic piano keys, and this was it. Being the hardcore skinny jean wearer that I am, putting on any other cut just seems, and more so, feels wrong. Not having the denim caress and hug my calves, although freeing, feels like I'm cheating on my skinnies. But I can't help myself; my Provocateurs slims and lifts at all the right places and I've never felt prettier in a pair of jeans. It's definitely a growing love affair. I'm finally admitting it, after being in straight up denial for the past 8 year, it's finally time; Denim, I. Love. You. I do! I do!

STOREFRONT ADVENTURES

{thrifted lace tee, thrifted plaid shirt, thrifted Gap denim jacket,
thrifted red suede skirt, thrifted Coach satchel, black tights, Ecote lace ups}

The last three weekends of my December have been spent in the comfort of the Free Gold Watch studio for Storefront, DNA (designers+artists)'s one-stop holiday pop-up shop. From the sponsored Argo Tea (which, in my opinion, one-up Peet's Hibiscus tea) the vintage frocks, to the handmade goodness; it was a fun event enjoyed by many. If you had a chance to stop by, gratzi, if not, you've missed out! Until next time!

Merry Christmas Eve folks! Have a good one spending it with the ones you love.

P.S. Don't forget to enter the Jewelmint Giveaway before you ring in the New Years!
